Howard has 20 years’ experience working in the co-operative and social enterprise sectors in the UK

Specialisms: Group development, co-operative and social enterprise development, organisational and legal structures, networking.

Past history: I was an Area Project Officer for Enterprising Communities, Voluntary Action Cumbria, for 4 years. Before that I was a founding member of ECO-OP, a workers’ co-op carrying out environmental work in Cumbria and was also a member of Suma, another workers’ co-op and the UK’s largest independent wholefood wholesaler-distributor for 7 years. I have run my own gardening business and worked as a support worker for Cumbria Care. My first job was working as a market gardener on an urban farm in Leeds.
